5 STARS.

Brad Pit is great, vampires are still human... or not, and our past always comes back to bite us in the neck...or the human we're with. This movie is listed under horror but it wasn't very scary. It's under mind bending as well which is still somewhat of a stretch. They also call it romantic which is a YES but more in the sense that you call Frankenstein romantic. It can be a bit sad and you will find your self pitying the characters. This movie was very well done and of course I recommend it to anyone who loves vampire movies or historical movies as they do a good job of portraying 18th century.

Director Neil Jordan's Oscar-nominated tale of bloodsucking immortals moves from 18th century New Orleans to a Grand Guignol theater in Paris to present-day San Francisco as it explores betrayal, love, loneliness and hunger. The lives of a trio of vampires -- cavalier Lestat (Tom Cruise), tormented Louis (Brad Pitt) and childlike Claudia (Kirsten Dunst) -- are interconnected for centuries in this adaptation of Anne Rice's romantic horror tale.

Corrina, Corrina

5 Stars all the way. I know that's not a surprise coming from me but remember I am recommending these movies to you so of course I love them. I watched this one when I was little and loved it. Years later I love it for a totally different reason. Now I can pick up the settle and not so settle tensions that is portrayed. This film takes on racism and interracial relationships while diving in to the lost of a loved one. It explores the grieving process and religions role in it. This review falls short of the amazing movie so just watch this feel good movie yourself on Netflix.

Whoopi Goldberg stars as Corrina Washington, a housekeeper hired by Manny Singer (Ray Liotta), a widower who lost his wife to cancer -- and has virtually lost his grieving young daughter (Tina Majorino) to a self-imposed world of silence. After drawing the girl out of her shell, Corrina becomes involved in a romance with Manny in this charming family tale set in the 1950s. Don Ameche (in his final film appearance) co-stars as Manny's father.

Warning: This movie starts and ends with the death of someone.

The Stepford Wives

5stars! This movie is so funny! It has a certain black humor but more importantly you can take it on so many different levels. The idea that you could turn your spouse in to a robot might appeal to some although this movie will have you thinking twice about it. You can just sit down and enjoy this movie on a Saturday night or you could look closely at it. The speech made by Claire Wellington at the end by  is very interesting. I particularly like the quote "...before women were turning themselves into robots" It makes you think!

Joanna Eberhart (Nicole Kidman) and her husband, Walter (Matthew Broderick), begin to suspect there's something radically wrong with their neighbors after the couple moves to the beautiful suburb of Stepford, where the wives seem to act, well, robotic. Are the husbands replacing their real wives with sexually compliant cyborg copies? And who might be next? Certainly not their alcohol-swilling new friend, Bobbie (Bette Midler).

Wall-E

Although far from my favorite Disney movie Wall-E is very cute and has a good message. I am refraining from staring it because I haven't watched it recently but it is available on Netflix to watch instantly. Kids are sure to get a kick out of the goofy robot.

It Could Happen to you

5 STARS!!! This is the cutest movie. A quirky little romance about finding true love. My favorite part about it is that the guy is married, and trying his best to make it work. He really loves his wife but its clear that she isn't feeling the same. You will have to watch the movie but it is clear that second chances can happen. I am a romantic so I LOVE this movie but if your not, its not for you. Unless you like to criticizes romances for being a little cheesy. Anyhow its based on a true story so you can always say your doing your history homework. Click here to start studying.

The Breakfast Club

You might remember this movie from the 80's. I really liked it! On the surface it exams the school system, how kids are put in to categories "a brain, a princess, a fag, a freak" and how it effects their lives academical and personally. However, this movie examines so much more. What makes us human? Why do we do what we do? Why do we care about others?  For answer to these question and more watch The Breakfast Club.
